Michael Grabner's hands disappeared on Long Island, and in Toronto.
Nice to see them come back in MSG.

Nick Cousins is actually 3rd on the team right now in points/60, for what it's worth. (Manning is 5th, full disclosure) I think it is very good that he is in the lineup.

The other beautiful thing is that Jake and Giroux are tied in points and play on separate lines. At lot of those points have come on the PP, but it is seriously such a luxury that they can be on separate lines.

I am not sure if there is a forward in the NHL that has gotten luckier this year

and who the (frank) is Pavel Buchnevich?

They're right in the NYR boards, who needs first round draft picks?
2nd, and 3rd rounders are fine.
Every year this team loses a decent piece or 2, and you think, (here it is, .500 team in NY), and they spawn top 6 forwards out nowhere.
My hatred for the Devils mid 90's "soccer on ice", cup wins is now in NY.

again #no god

edit: I was told in these boards, "who needs Pirri, he'll come here and sit on the bench", yeah like we have more depth than the Rangers.

Some other fun #fancies

PDO or as the NHL calls it Shooting Plus Save Percentage is said to be even at "1000" There are teams that go over 1000 and teams that finish under, i.e. last year where the Rangers lead the league with 1025 and the Leafs were last with 983. +25 and -17. 2 years ago Rangers again lead with +19 and Canes were last with -29.

What does it matter? Well, currently the Blackhawks lead the league with 1062 and the Avs are last with 954. It means that things will average out a bit more as the season goes along. Where might teams see a change? Well obviously the highest and lowest PDO should regress to the mean, but more importantly for us, the Flyers should get better as well.

Last year the Flyers had the 2nd best 5v5 save percentage in the league. This year, dead last.

I dont know what #no god means, I also don't think you know how hashtags work. I will take the years of Brandon Pirri data over the first handful of games this season, but you are welcome to feel the way you do. I am all for more skill in the Flyers ranks, but I doubt Pirri is a long term solution

Another team with cap problems that spawns stars out of nowhere, who produce while earning peanuts.
Lose Sharp - enter Saad

Glad we agree on the proper way of doing things.

Are there any other petrolheads in here?

Bill's blog about the anniversary of Pelle's death (31 years is an interesting number) reminded me about his car. Clearly it was customized, but it is a mid 80s 930 turbo slantnose?

Holy hell do I want one now. There is something insanely cool about that car. Shame that it took his life. Did his wife/gf really turn off the ignition on him?

He's first in GF% but last in CF%. Amazing, even in a small sample.

Panarin's bonuses were supposed to hurt them this season... but noooooo someone signs there for dirt cheap to try and help them win another title.
